Welcome to the official website of the award-winning Eta Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ®. We were founded on March 16, 1957, and have continued to serve the Rock Hill, Chester, and York communities for nearly 70 years. Our membership is comprised of talented, visionary, and college-educated women committed to upholding the values and ethical standards of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ®, through the following international initiatives of our 2022–2026 administration:

Your continued support of our signature scholarship initiative is invaluable. Since 1971, the Debutante Cotillion program has awarded scholarships to qualified students while strengthening our community through impactful service projects.

Our Chapter
Eta Alpha Omega
In the mid-fifties, Mary Sitgraves Johnson returned to Rock Hill to find several Alpha Kappa Alpha members in the community. Johnson and fifteen other young energetic members, from the Tri-County area (Chester, York, and Lancaster) formed an interest group. As a result, on March 16, 1957, Eta Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated was officially chartered by the Mid-Atlantic Regional Director, Grace Matthews, in the absence of Kathryn Johnson, the South Atlantic Regional Director.

Programming
Service and sisterhood have been the cornerstone of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® since 1908.
With the theme, Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood, the 2022-2026 administration seeks to build upon Alpha Kappa Alpha’s rich legacy of service by galvanizing our sisterhood of more than 120,000 active members to lead on the front lines of change, education, and advocacy.
